Humble but beautiful Anthyllis vulneraria ssp. pulchella.
Anthyllis vulneraria ssp. pulchella is a plant species in the extremely variable legume/pea/bean family (Fabaceae), and is widespread in the mountains of southeastern Europe. A minute form of this familiar plant can be found on the snow-bed meadows of Mount Olympus, where it appears as a live gem with its grey-green leaves and its pinkish-red flowers.
The genus Anthyllis is distributed in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Η Anthyllis vulneraria ssp. pulchella είναι ένα είδος που ανήκει στην εξαιρετικά πολυποίκιλη οικογένεια των ψυχανθών (Fabaceae), και είναι διαδεδομένη στα βουνά της νοτιοανατολικής Ευρώπης. Μία νανώδης μορφή αυτού του πολύ οικείου φυτού απαντάται στα χιονοσκέπαστα λιβάδια του Ολύμπου, όπου εμφανίζεται σαν ζωντανό κόσμημα με τα γκριπράσινα φύλλα και τα ρόδινα άνθη του.
Το γένος Anthyllis κατανέμεται στην Ευρώπη, τη Μέση Ανατολή και τη Β. Αφρική.
