Verbascum eriophorum, also known as V. malacotrichum is a biennial or short-lived perennial plant native to N. Greece, Bulgaria and the former Yugoslavia. It is found in the same habitats as V. densiflorum, but it's dense flower stalks grow up to 3.0 m, creating a beautiful sight when dry in fall. The beautiful basal leaves are grey and very soft and woolly.
Occasionally it can also be confused with V. phlomoides, also known as V. pangaeum, which is shorter (up to 1.50m) and more widespread (most of Europe and W. Asia).

Το Verbascum eriophorum, γνωστό και ως V. malacotrichum, είναι ένα διετές είδος βερμπάσκου ενδημικού της Β.Ελλάδας, της Βουλγαρίας και της πρώην Γιουγκοσλαβίας. Απαντάται στα ίδια περίπου μέρη με το V. densiflorum, οι ανθοφόροι όμως βλαστοί του φτάνουν περίπου τα 3,00 μ. δημιουργώντας ένα όμορφο θέαμα όταν ξηραίνονται το φθινόπωρο.
Μερικές φορές είναι δυνατόν να το συγχέει κανείς και με το Verbascum phlomoides, γνωστό και ως V. pangaeum, το οποίο είναι αρκετά κοντύτερο (έως 1,50μ) και πιο διαδεδομένο (Ευρώπη και Δ. Ασία).
